Job summary

MiTek Industries, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to receive, identify, label, and store steel materials. You will operate overhead cranes and forklifts, move and stage materials, and maintain accurate inventory across storage areas.

The role supports production by pulling and delivering materials and by ensuring timely inventory transactions. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, and prior material handling or warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Experience in material handling or warehousing preferred.
• Ability to safely operate overhead crane and forklift.

Responsibilities

• Receive, identify, label, and store steel materials.
• Safely load, unload, move, and stage steel using cranes or PIVs.
• Maintain accurate inventory quantities and locations.
• Organize steel racks and storage areas.
• Pull and stage steel to support production requirements.
• Deliver materials to production work centers.
• Complete material and inventory transactions accurately.
• Identify shortages, discrepancies, or damaged material.
• Follow safety procedures for lifting and storing steel.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report hazards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and support cycle counts.
• Work with Production, Receiving, and Inventory to ensure flow.
