Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. is seeking a reliable Grinder Operator to join our Bridgeville, PA team. The role involves removing surface impurities from steel ingots while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity in a heavy industrial setting.

The position starts as a Utility role with training to advance. You will operate grinders, forklifts, cranes, and related equipment, following work orders and prioritizing accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Employees will receive training on Gantry, Midwest, and Tysman grinders and other equipment required for the position.
• Experience in steel-related or heavy manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and position material for grinding and conditioning.
• Operate Gantry, Midwest, and Tysman grinders; use forklifts and cranes as necessary.
• Change grinding wheels as required and safely operate grinding equipment.
• Follow mill work order instructions and inspect material for conformity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area; report issues promptly.
• Work safely and productively to meet production expectations.
