Job summary

Precision Castparts in Ogden, UT is seeking a Steel Foundry Worker for the day shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm). You will prepare molds, load ovens, pour metal into molds, and record pour data. Daily spectrometer verifications and paperwork are part of the role, with responsibilities extending to maintaining quality and safety standards.

The position requires reading comprehension, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. OSHA training and forklift certification may be required.

Qualifications

• Able to read and comprehend English.
• Able to add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with tens and hundreds.
• Able to communicate effectively with co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and handles supplied molds to ensure castings meet quality standards.
• Loads molds into ovens according to production requirements.
• Pours metal into molds according to procedures.
• Records temperatures and times for pours into computer.
• Performs daily verifications on Spectrometer.
• Maintains lot integrity and ensures paperwork is properly done.
