Job summary

Metallus is hiring a Finishing/Inspection Operator for the Billet Conditioning Department at our Faircrest plant. You will monitor charging, inspection, grinder and saw pulpits to meet customer and internal specs, performing visual, ultrasonic and spark testing.

Data entry, shipment prep and routine maintenance are also part of the role. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year manufacturing experience, and the ability to read work instructions and use precision measuring

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience in industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, product specs, and quality requirements.
• Experience using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges) or ability to learn quickly with training.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor charging, inspection, grinder, and saw pulpits to process steel products to specifications.
• Perform visual, dimensional, ultrasonic, and spark testing for quality compliance.
• Support data entry/tracking, shipment prep, and routine equipment maintenance.
• Use equipment like cranes, magnets, hoists, and inspection tools as part of daily duties.
