Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Midwest in Newton, IA, United States, is seeking a safety-conscious fabricator to join our team. Responsibilities include unloading, cutting, bending, and assembling reinforcing steel bars using various machines and equipment, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

You will operate forklifts/cranes, load orders for shipment, and help maintain a clean, organized shop while adhering to Nucor’s safety policies. Overtime and shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• High school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent.
• Basic math skills to calculate bar measurements.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers and store material in storage bins.
• Operate shearing, bending, and Fabmatic machines to shape reinforcing steel bars.
• Operate overhead crane to move material for fabrication or shipment.
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist others as needed and comply with safety standards.
