About Evolve

In an environment where material escalation and long lead times can significantly affect project success, Evolve focuses on risk reduction. We offer a turn-key solution using Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) workflow, allowing concurrent design and construction activities, resulting in accelerated material onsite for critical path items and increased cost certainty. Our services include steel detailing and BIM, design assist/pre-construction, estimating, project management, and steel erection and fabrication.

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret architectural and structural building plans and specifications.
• Create shop drawings for structural steel items, following required dimensions, welds, holes, and locations.
• Utilize AISC and AWS standards for shop drawings preparation.
• Create shop drawings for miscellaneous steel items.
• Proficient in basic 3D modeling operations and detail processes.
• Understand basic weld types and sizing in various applications.
• Familiarity with basic construction techniques.
• Organized and able to prioritize project needs.

Preferred Knowledge & Qualifications For Steel Detailers

• 3+ years' experience in the industry.
• Ability to distinguish between basic construction trade drawings (Architectural, Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical).
• Understanding of basic plan/section nomenclature.
• Experience in coordinating information gathering between various trade drawings.
• Ability to interpret and assess relevant information in various sections and plans concerning structural and miscellaneous steel.
• Proficiency in locating and resolving conflicts between trade drawings.
• Familiarity with drawing scale.
• Experience in building models using Tekla Structures.
• Ability to write RFI's (Request for Information).
