Job summary

TrueGrid Steel is seeking a Steel Detailer for a full-time remote position to produce fabrication-ready shop drawings and models for structural and miscellaneous steel components. You will interpret drawings, develop connections, and coordinate with project managers, fabricators, and erectors to resolve design and field issues.

Maintain drawing standards, ensure compliance with project specs and codes, and support submittal workflows with clear documentation and communication.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Steel Detailing and Steel Structures.
• Skills in creating and interpreting Shop Drawings.
• Skills related to Rebar detailing and coordination.
• Skills in reading and understanding Architectural Drawings.
• Proficiency with industry-standard detailing software (e.g., Tekla, SDS/2, AutoCAD, or similar) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of building codes, fabrication practices, and erection methods is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, spatial visualization, and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting are essential.
• Prior experience in structural steel detailing or a related field, and technical education in engineering, drafting, or construction management, is advantageous.
