Job summary

Hanover Iron Works, Inc. seeks a Steel Coating and Loading Specialist to fabricate and finish metal components using welding and grinding, supporting quality and project specifications.

The role focuses on assisting the main painter with moving and prepping steel for paint, loading, running, and unloading parts from the sand blaster, and aiding the material handler with staging materials and loading trucks.

Qualifications

• Experience with overhead cranes is a plus.
• Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours.
• Must be able to tolerate hot and cold environments.
• Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays.
• Basic math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Stage and prep steel items for paint.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Perform rigging work to move materials as required.
• Bring in or remove steel from the shop as needed.

Summary

The Steel Coating and Loading specialist is mainly responsible for assisting the main painter with moving and prepping steel items for paint. Loading, running, and unloading parts from the sand blaster.

Assisting the material handler with staging material and loading trucks.

Responsibilities

• Stage and prep steel items for paint.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Perform rigging work to move materials as required.
• Bring in or remove steel from the shop as needed.
• Perform other duties as required to support the fabrication shop.

Requirements

• Experience with overhead cranes is a plus.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by functioning and communicating in an effective manner with co-workers, clients, and supervisors.
• Works in compliance with Kinsley's safety policies and procedures.
• Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Must be able to tolerate hot and cold working environment.
• Must be able to stand on feet for up to 10 hours.
• Must be organized and can multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
