Job summary

Metallus in Canton, OH seeks a Solidification Tender to safely transport, prepare, and handle materials, molds, ingots, and equipment throughout the steelmaking and casting process. You will operate cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment in a high-heat environment, following all safety procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to safely perform work in a heavy industrial environment.
• Ability to learn crane operation, material identification, and computer-based production systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport, prepare, and handle materials, molds, ingots, and equipment in steelmaking and casting operations.
• Operate a variety of mobile, rail, and casting equipment to support production.
• Inspect equipment, identify materials, and coordinate with operations and maintenance for safe production.
