Position Details

• Position: STEAM Scholars (S2) Custodian
• Department: Youth and Family Education
• Availability of Position: June 16, 2025
• Schedule: Seasonal, Part Time, 6/16/25 - 7/24/25, 8:00am-3:00pm
• Reporting Relationship: Directly: Youth and Family Education Administrator; Indirectly: Youth and Family Education Site Coordinator
• Salary/Grade: $14.50 per hour; 72 NE

Responsibilities

Receive and record temperatures for program meal deliveries. Clean restrooms, desks, tables, high-traffic areas, touch points and spills during STEAM Scholars Academy program hours. Perform cleaning duties following provided checklists, such as mopping, wiping walls and glass, and removing trash. Notify supervisor of repairs or damage. Focus on maintaining, cleaning, and sanitizing facilities used by S2. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in this or related field
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English
• Good interpersonal skills

• Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain insurance clearances
• Completion of child abuse recognition and reporting training within 30 days of employment, with recurrent training every five years
• Meet child protection clearances as per PA Act 153
• Understanding and appreciation of The Salvation Army’s Mission
