Job summary

Westinghouse Electric is seeking a Steam Generator Data Manager for the OMS Inspection Service team. You will help ensure data collected at customer sites flows to SG Analysts and is tracked for progression to executive leadership.

The role reports to the Manager of NDE Programs and is based on-site at the Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. Responsibilities include developing inspection programs with engineering, using STMAX for data management, and coordinating with lead analysts, project

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain 'Unescorted Access' to nuclear facilities.
  • Willingness to travel on 1–3 week project assignments in spring and fall.
  • Familiarity with steam generator inspections and outage atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Develop inspection programs with engineering for degradation assessment.
  • Operate data management tools and support field projects.
  • Provide updates to project managers, product line, customers and regulators on status.
  • Assist in field project preparation with procedures and examination plans for NDE scopes.
  • Operate field service equipment and NDE technologies on customer sites.
  • Maintain compliance with safety training and access requirements.
  • Collaborate with peers, supervisors, contractors and other departments on project tasks.

As a Steam Generator Data Manager on our OMS Inspection Service team, you will play a critical role in the execution of Steam Generator and other Heat Exchanger examinations, ensuring data collected at customer sites flows to SG Analysts and progression is managed, tracked, and communicated to executive leadership.

You will report to the Manager of NDE Programs and will be based out of our Waltz Mill facility in Madison, PA. When not traveling, you will be expected on-site 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with engineering to develop inspection programs based on the implementation of degradation assessment
  • Use Data Management software such as STMAX
  • Contribute to each project working with a lead analyst and project managers
  • Support the preparation for field projects with procedures and examination plans for the NDE scope for Steam Generators and heat exchangers.
  • Provide regular updates to Project Managers, Product Line, Customer, and Regulator on project status
  • Participate in safety training to acquire the skills to perform work in hazardous environments and operate safety equipment and systems.
  • Participate in performance-based training programs to acquire and maintain certifications and keep current with technology.
  • Operate field service equipment at customer sites, including non-destructive examination (NDE) technology, automated systems and computer networks.
  • Perform all assigned tasks with a high degree of quality, and within the parameters of qualified procedures and guidelines. Document all quality related issues.
  • Develop and exercise team-building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers and other departments.
  • This position requires travel, maintenance of "Unescorted Access" status at Nuclear Power Plants, and working with hazardous materials.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required
  • Familiarity with steam generator inspections, repair hardware, and general customer site outage atmosphere.
  • Excellent Verbal & Written Skills
  • Ability to travel extensively during the spring and fall with multiple projects assignments of 1-3 week duration and periodically during off peak seasons.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain "Unescorted Access" to nuclear facilities is required.

Base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills, is estimated to be $76,522.45 to $101,864.75 per year.
