Job summary

The STEAM Educator position at Thinkery supports the STEAM Learning Institute, developing and delivering play-based, inquiry-rich STEAM experiences for diverse PreK–5 learners. You will lead educator training, classroom visits, and summer camps while aligning curricula to state standards.

Strong collaboration across departments, budget awareness, and inclusive teaching practices are essential as you scale year-round and seasonal programming in the Austin area.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of STEAM content, pedagogy, and current tools/trends.
• Experience with robotics, programming, circuitry, or design thinking preferred.
• Excellent communication with children, families, educators, staff, and partners.
• Ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and budgets while collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and implement educational programs such as educator training, class visits, and summer camp.
• Coordinate program schedules, attendance, logistics, assessments, and evaluation for programs and partnerships.
• Co-develop and edit STEAM curricula aligned with Thinkery’s framework and state standards.
• Facilitate STEAM activities in classrooms and workshop settings.
• Maintain program-supply inventory and coordinate materials across partnerships and camps.
