Job summary

Galileo Learning in the Bay Area (Oakland, CA) is seeking a Curriculum Developer to design STEAM projects and develops instructor guides and training. This full-time role collaborates with the Educational Product team and Supply Chain to ensure high-quality instructional materials and scalable programs.

Based in a hybrid environment, you will lead project creation, testing, and refinement while shaping how Galileo's camps and offerings reach thousands of educators and students.”

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, art and design, engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years in educational settings designing hands-on activities that engage students in creative problem solving.
• Experience creating multimedia content, including basic photography and video production.
• Understanding of K‑8 enrichment environments, educator needs, and kids' developmental capacities.
• A deep well of STEAM project ideas and a proven track record of bringing those ideas to life.
• Experience meeting regular deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.
• A track record of developing clear instructional materials and effectively communicating complex ideas.

Responsibilities

• Dream up, tinker, and perfect hands-on STEAM projects that inspire kids and differentiate Galileo programs.
• Test activities in classroom settings to refine pacing and project steps, ensuring age-appropriate techniques.
• Specify required materials for each project and collaborate with Supply Chain to approve samples and meet constraints.
• Create multimedia facilitation guides grounded in the Galileo Innovation Approach and support instructors to implement programs.
• Design and deliver instructor training to build excitement and ensure fidelity in delivery.
• Observe programs in the field, gather feedback, and turn findings into actionable improvements.
• Support Educational Product priorities and expand into new areas of design aligned with team needs.
