Job summary

Moonlighter FabLab in Miami Beach, FL seeks an energetic STEAM Camp Counselor to guide campers through hands-on science, technology, engineering, art and math projects.

You will supervise daily activities, help campers design and build, and foster a safe, inclusive, collaborative learning environment while communicating with parents and staff.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with children, love creativity and technology, and are excited to inspire curiosity through making and exploration.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in camp, school, or related setting preferred.
• Interest in STEAM education, making, technology, or hands-on learning environments.
• Strong organizational skills and a high level of responsibility.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and facilitate hands-on STEAM activities, design challenges, and collaborative projects
• Lead games, team-building activities, and creative learning experiences
• Assist in creating and maintaining daily and weekly camp schedules tailored to camper age groups and interests
• Supervise campers and safely escort them between activities and learning stations
• Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and positive teamwork among campers
• Set up, organize, maintain, and clean up materials, tools, and camp equipment
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Communicate professionally with parents and camp staff as needed

We are seeking an energetic, creative, and responsible STEAM Camp Counselor to join our team! As a counselor, your top priority will be ensuring the safety and well‑being of campers while guiding them through engaging hands‑on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Design, and Math) experiences.

You will help facilitate daily activities, support students as they design and build projects, and foster a fun, collaborative learning environment. • Strong organizational skills and a high level of responsibility
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and actively participating in camp activities
