Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA is seeking a Low Observable Survivability Specialist (LOSS) for 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 10 hour shifts). This onsite role focuses on stealth/RCS projects to reduce detectability and improve survivability of aircraft.

Ideal candidates have strong low observable, RCS, and survivability coating experience, plus an active DoD Top Secret clearance and ability to work across IPTs with suppliers. Attractive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of low observables, RCS performance, and/or Aircraft Survivability experience, or Master’s with 6 years.
• Ability to act as SME in survivability coating, gap-fillers, and treatments in production.
• Extensive knowledge of quality tools used to verify survivability coatings and treatments.
• Knowledge of Radar Absorbent Structure including damage sensitivities and repair.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain Special Program Access.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate technology to reduce detectability of aircraft in multiple spectrums.
• Coordinate with IPT members and suppliers to meet Survivability requirements.
• Perform analysis on Low Observable data to identify trends and improvements.
