Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking a Statutory Accountant to manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes under US GAAP and IFRS. You will prepare financial statements, ensure statutory reporting compliance, and partner with auditors to strengthen internal controls.

You will analyze financial data, support budgeting and forecasting, and help optimize tax strategies while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience with understanding of applicable regulations and IFRS/GAAP.
• Fluent English communication, written and verbal.
• Strong analytical skills with knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; SAP experience is a plus.
• Highly organized with strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities and reconciliations.
• Provide financial analysis and support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• Partner with departments to implement financial analysis tools and procedures.
• Apply data understanding and identify basic trends and insights.
• Prepare and file legal, statutory, and annual financial reports; support tax compliance.
• Maintain internal controls and assist with SOX audits; support tax audits when needed.
• Drive process and system improvements in finance and participate in special projects.
