Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Odum Institute is seeking a Statistics Helpdesk Consultant to support researchers with quantitative data analysis and statistical programming using Mplus, Python, R, SAS, SPSS and Stata. This on-site role offers 12-16 hours per week during standard business hours.

The incumbent will work with Odum Institute statisticians and data scientists to deliver consultations, assist with data management and visualization in Qualtrics, and help with

Qualifications

Experience in statistical consulting or teaching.
Proficiency in R, SAS, Mplus, or Stata.
Qualtrics programming or data analysis knowledge.

Responsibilities

Provide client-focused one-on-one statistical consulting both in-person and virtually to faculty, staff, and students across a wide range of disciplines.
Assist researchers with quantitative analysis, statistical programming, data cleaning, data management and data visualization.
Support users of statistical software including Mplus, Python, R, SAS, SPSS and Stata.
Advise researchers on data management and visualization practices within Qualtrics.
Collaborate with Odum Institute staff to address complex research questions and support survey-related projects.
Contribute to other research support activities as assigned.
