Job summary

Sanofi in Swiftwater, PA seeks a Statistician – Process Analytics to join the MSAT Data Science Flu team, delivering insights into vaccine manufacturing process performance and robustness.

You will contribute to validation attributes, interpret study results, and promote statistical thinking across Manufacturing & Supply, with training in DOE, SPC and process control.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Natural Science, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience; academic work counts.
  • Strong knowledge of quality by design, process control, and experimental design.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder relationship skills.
  • Strong programming and data handling abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to definition of critical process attributes for process validation.
  • Communicate study results within platform or project.
  • Implement instructions on new/improved processes to audience.

Job Title: Statistician, Process Analytics

About the Job

As Statistician – Process Analytics within the international Manufacturing Science, Analytics and Technology (MSAT) Data Science Flu team, you will help providing deep insights into Flu vaccine manufacturing process performance and robustness.

The mission of MSAT is to deliver robust and efficient process & testing with associated know-how transfer to Manufacturing & Supply and Quality Control (QC). MSAT teams provide daily support, for Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and QC, striving for industrial performance excellence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the definition of critical process attributes for process validation

  • Communicate and interpret documented study results within the platform or project

The Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Facilitates the use of statistical thinking promoting the concepts that: all work occurs in a system of interconnected processes, variation exists on all processes, understanding and reducing variation are keys to success

  • Basic knowledge of Design of Experiment (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Control and Applied Statistics

  • Facilitate statistical process control related training for Manufacturing & Supply personnel

  • Promotes application of Statistical Process Control for life‑cycle design and industrialization of processes, products and associated test methods for Phase 3 and licensed products to assure commercialization of robust, compliant, and efficient processes and test methods for vaccines and biopharmaceuticals

  • Technical input and/or gap analysis of internal and external Quality/Regulatory guidelines pertaining to process control

About You
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree of Science in Statistics, Mathematics, Natural Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 0–2 years of relevant experience required; academic experience, coursework, and school projects are considered.

  • Basic knowledge in quality by design, process control, and design of experiments

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an understanding of team‑culture and building strong relationships with stakeholders

  • Quantitative skills to include programming and working with a variety of data outside of an academic setting
