  • Conducts advanced statistical analysis and data management to support the South Carolina department of corrections in monitoring operations, performance, and compliance.
  • Use SAS and other tools to analyze trends, create reports, and develop data visualizations for decision-making.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree with statistical courses and experience in statistics.

SCDC Minimum Requirements

( Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of the State of Human Resources).

  • A bachelor-s degree and one (1) year working experience in statistics;

OR

  • An associate degree and three (3) years' working experience in statistics;

OR

  • A high school diploma and a minimum of five (5) years- working experience in statistics.
  • Preferred requirements at least one (1) year of experience working with statistical software (e.g., SAS), data management, and quantitative reporting. Experience in a correctional, governmental, or regulatory environment is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to Interpret complex data, support decision-making, and maintain ethical standards in data handling.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred requirements at least one (1) year of experience working with statistical software (e.g., SAS), data management, and quantitative reporting. Experience in a correctional, governmental, or regulatory environment is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to Interpret complex data, support decision-making, and maintain ethical standards in data handling.
