Job description

AllSTEM Connections is seeking a Statistician to work either onsite/hybrid in Rahway, NJ or remotely in PST/MST/CST/EST.

This is a 12-month contract position. Possible extension/temp-to-hire.

Hourly rate is up to $48/hour.

SUMMARY:

Seeking a Statistician to support process development through Design of Experiments (DOE), statistical analysis, and study reporting. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with JMP, experimental design, and statistical methodologies, working closely with process scientists and engineers to design studies, interpret results, and support project objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop study design (DOE), statistical analysis, and reported output using in-house developed JMP tools in fast-paced, critical path projects.
• Participate in process characterization teams to understand requirements to design study experiments and discuss results. Experiment design entails having joint conversations with the Process scientists/engineers to discuss the issues and constraints on study design and execution.
• Work with Process Scientists/Engineers to complete study reports as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum education: Master’s in statistics/biostatistics or related discipline (e.g., chemical, industrial engineering) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, or PhD or equivalent degree with a minimum of 1-year relevant work experience.
• Proven experience applying DOE to real-life process development problems.
• Solid knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies and experimental design.
• Strong hands‑on experience with JMP and working knowledge of other statistical and data processing software (e.g., Minitab)
• Experience with Design of Experiments.
• Must also demonstrate the ability to learn, be proactive and motivated, and consistently focus on details and execution.

Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to function effectively in a team environment.
