Job summary

The Stationary Operating Engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory maintains and operates critical building systems across the Richland campus, ensuring safe, reliable power, steam, and utility services. You will monitor equipment, log performance data, and perform corrective actions under the guidance of the Facilities & Infrastructure Operations division.

Qualified candidates bring at least 2 years of related experience, a High School diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver's license.
• Physically capable to work outdoors, climb ladders, and traverse uneven terrain.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain building systems equipment to provide utilities.
• Monitor meters, record data, and report system status.
• Perform Power Operator Journeyman functions as assigned by management.
