Job summary

ProMedica Toledo Hospital is seeking a Stationary Steam Engineer to lead the operation of all steam boilers, turbines and associated equipment on the nights shift in Toledo, OH. You will ensure continuous and safe operation, perform repairs, preventive maintenance and preparations for annual inspections.

The role requires thorough knowledge of boiler water chemistry, piping systems and electrical troubleshooting, plus a State of Ohio Stationary Steam Engineer License.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Thorough knowledge of steam and water piping systems with ability to make repairs.
• Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting techniques and electricity.
• Thorough knowledge of boiler water chemistry and cooling tower water chemistry; capable of water analysis.
• Thorough knowledge of fire extinguishing methods and ability to act in emergencies.
• 4 years in operation and maintenance of steam boilers, turbines, water chillers and related equipment.
• Current State of Ohio Stationary Steam Engineer License (minimum 3rd class).

Location: Toledo Hospital Department: Plant Operations Weekly Hours: 40 Status: Full time Shift: Nights (United States of America) Job Summary: As the Stationary Steam Engineer, you will be in direct charge of all steam boilers, steam turbines and auxiliary equipment. You will maintain continuous operating of steam generating equipment including repairs, preventive maintenance and preparing for annual inspections. You will maintain all steam turbine drive pumps and electric drive pumps and associated equipment including repairs and preventive maintenance. REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of steam and water piping systems with competency to make repairs
• Basic knowledge of electrical trouble shooting techniques and a working knowledge of electricity
• Thorough knowledge of boiler water chemistry and cooling tower water chemistry; capable of performing competent water analysis on the systems
• Thorough knowledge of fire extinguishing methods and capable of executing these methods in the event of a fire
• 4 years in the operation and maintenance of steam boilers, steam turbines, water chillers and associated auxiliary equipment
• Current State of Ohio Stationary Steam Engineer License (minimum 3rd class license)

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Previous First Aid experience
• CPR
