Stationary Engineer (Provisional)
GENERAL DUTIES
Under general supervision, is responsible for the operation, maintenance, adjustments, testing and repair of steam power plant, air conditioning, chiller plant, fire protection systems, electro-mechanical building equipment and related auxiliary systems in public buildings; performs related work.

CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Brooklyn College is accepting applications for a Stationary Engineer (Provisional) in the HVAC Department (Heating Plant, Chiller plant, Field Service).
Standard shift assignments are 7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am. Actual shift assignments are determined per college needs.
Note: All provisional and/or temporary employees must take the appropriate civil service exam when it is offered and score high enough to be reachable on the civil service list in order to be appointed. When a civil service list is established, the College is required to make appointments from the certified list to fill all positions including those held by provisional and/or temporary employees.
