Position Overview: Under the direction of the Chief or Assistant Chief Engineer, performs maintenance of equipment and machinery in Mills-Peninsula Health Services. Ensures efficient and reliable operation of all machinery, including electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning systems.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Perform urgent, routine, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Maintain and repair HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and assist in maintaining electrical wiring and emergency generator systems.
  • Inspect and test equipment/systems, and perform life safety duties in compliance with building safety codes.
  • Replace, install, repair, and test electrical circuits, equipment, appliances, and lighting systems.
  • Maintain records of inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs.
  • Perform manual duties such as moving supplies, replacing light bulbs, and removing trash.
  • Read blueprints, interpret instructions, and prepare specifications.
Experience
  • Three years of related experience and/or training required.
  • Engineering background in acute care hospital preferred.
  • Journeyman-level field service experience in industrial electrical and/or refrigeration required.

Pay Range: $62.55 /Hour.
