Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is seeking a Stationary Engineer to operate and maintain a broad range of plant equipment in the Cogen and power plants for Hoag Hospital and affiliates. You will support the Plant Operations department and contribute to continuous quality improvement, with focus on safety, instrumentation, and preventive maintenance.

The role requires knowledge of steam boilers, chillers, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and related tools, with a local CA driver’s license

Competenze

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Trade, technical or military school training in Plant Operations.
Minimum of three (3) years experience in a plant operations/maintenance position including military service, preferably within an acute healthcare system environment.
Knowledgeable in the use of a variety of physical plant equipment, hand and power tools.
Knowledge of physical plant equipment, operation and repair.
Knowledge of body mechanics, safety measures and infection control, ability to follow instructions, section specific test information and instrumentation.

Mansioni

Operates and maintains equipment in the Cogen plant and the power plant for Hoag Hospital and its affiliates, including steam boilers, chillers, absorption units, generators, pumps, compressors, refrigerators and HVAC equipment.
Maintains a working knowledge of Plant Operations SOPs, instrumentation, QC requirements, and preventative maintenance; supports continuous quality improvement.
