Stationary Engineer High Pressure/Boiler Operator

Location: Palmdale, CA

Job ID: #71171

Pay Range: $40-50 per hour (W2)

Duration: 12 months

Operates and maintains high-pressure, manually-controlled and/or fully-automatic high-pressure steam boilers. Responsibilities include regulating temperatures, draft fans, and fuel feeds; controlling and maintaining proper fire; checking controls; servicing all automatic equipment, pumps, injectors, emission control devices, monitors, and accessories; maintaining correct fuel and water treatment and water levels; recording and interpreting pressure, combustion, and other gauges; performing functional checks of boilers during firing and after major repairs. Operates chillers, air compressors, and other devices as part of the central utility plant operation.

• Prior chiller operational experience
• No degree required

This team provides 24/7 support for plant operation. Candidates must have completely open availability. Shift schedules will depend on coverage needs.
