Job description

Job Title: Stationary Engineer

U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated building maintenance services company, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Stationary Engineer in Philadelphia.

We are seeking two Stationary Engineers to work various shifts, either 8am-4pm or 4pm-12am.

The Stationary Engineer, with minimal supervision, performs preventive, corrective, and general maintenance and repairs. The role also involves taking immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns, as well as routine and preventive maintenance tasks.

The 1st Class Stationary Engineer is a skilled, responsible position within the Engineering Department. The role requires a thorough understanding of Steam Boiler, Chiller, and HVAC plant equipment design and operating principles to safely, reliably, and efficiently produce and distribute utilities such as steam and chilled water. The engineer will monitor, tune, and troubleshoot these utilities to ensure proper conditioning of facility spaces. Accuracy is essential. The position may also involve supervising or instructing other employees as needed.

Additional duties may be assigned as required to meet business needs and adapt to changing practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Class A Engineer's license
• CFC Universal Certification
• At least 3 years of experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems
• At least 3 years of experience with fire alarm system panel controls
• At least 3 years of experience with building automation system (BAS) controls and programming
• At least 2 years of experience operating boilers and chillers
• Knowledge of High Pressure Steam Operations and Heat Transfer
