Qualifications

• Interest in stationary engineering, HVAC, mechanical systems, building operations, or facilities maintenance.
• Willingness to learn through hands-on training and instruction.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, contractors, and building personnel.
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to take direction.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures and workplace policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate building mechanical systems and equipment.
• Assist with operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, air-handling units, pumps, compressors, and generators.
• Perform routine inspections and document equipment conditions.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and scheduled activities.
• Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Check gauges, meters, and controls and report abnormal readings or conditions.
• Maintain proper building temperatures and environmental conditions.
• Perform basic mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and work orders.
