Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Stationary Engineer at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, renovating and repairing boiler systems and other mechanical systems in the facility. Overnight shifts are part of the schedule.

You will work to ensure safe, reliable operation of stationary engines and equipment, perform planned maintenance, and adapt to client needs with a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of related work experience.
• Holds boiler operator license as minimum requirement.
• License/certification appropriate for the city/state of work.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain stationary engines and equipment including boilers, steam engines, air compressors, generators, turbines, and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance using hand and power tools.
• Attend work and show up on time for scheduled shifts.
• Other duties may be assigned depending on client requirements.

Pay Range: $34.50 per hour - $34.50 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a Stationary Engineer at Sodexo, you are a problem solver and safety promoter. Your knowledge and technical skills are critical to meet maintenance needs. You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, renovation and repair of boiler systems and all other mechanical systems in a facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate and maintain stationary engines and equipment such as steam engines, boilers, air compressors, generators, turbines, and refrigeration equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance of equipment, as required, using hand and power tools.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.
• 1 or more years of related work experience.
• Holds appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done. Minimum requirement is boiler operator’s license
