HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a Stationary Engineer to operate and maintain the central plant and hospital buildings in Cypress, TX. The role ensures reliability of utility systems and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED.
• No Travel Required.
• Minimum Experience: technical training in Engineering and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair equipment in the central plant and all hospital buildings.
• Comply with policy, JACHO, NFPA 99, Life Safety Code 101, TDH licensing standards, and NFPA Codes.
• Respond to hospital emergencies and support department supervisors and the health care team.
• Collaborate with staff to achieve department objectives and maintain safety and efficiency.
• Ensure hospital equipment remains functional and well-maintained.
• Enforce safety policies in coordination with the supervisor and director.
• Uphold professional practice standards and conduct.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities such as data collection and quality control.
• Acknowledge and adapt to organizational values and diversity.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Operates, maintains, and repairs equipment in the central plant and all HCA - North Cypress Buildings.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Apply the engineering practices throughout the NCMC campus, including repairs and maintenance of all utility systems.

• Ensure all assigned tasks are completed according to policy and procedure, JACHO, NFPA 99, Life Safety Code 101, TDH licensing standards, and all other NFPA Codes as needed.

• Participates and responses to all Hospital emergencies, including, but not limited to fire, bomb threads, disaster codes, security codes, and all other emergencies as required by the department supervisor and director.

• Cooperate with other personnel to achieve Department objectives and maintain good employee relations and collaborative integration of the health care team.

• Demonstrates accountability for the functionality of all hospital equipment.

• Assist in the enforcement of safety policies and, Supervisor, and the Director of the department.

• Demonstrates professional practice and always conduct.

• Participates in Performance Improvement as appropriate (i.e. data collection, quality control, etc.)
