Job summary

Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is seeking a Station Training Supervisor in our Ground Handling Department in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on on-the-job training for new hires and ongoing learning for the station team, including de-icing training and follow-up to ensure compliance.

Two years of airline experience is preferred, with knowledge of ticketing, gate, and ramp functions. Strong organizational, communication, and MS Office skills are required to lead trainings and coordinate with all levels

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to defuse conflicts among team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assign a variety of tasks and assignments to new hire employees, including airport familiarization.

To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable leader to join our team as a Station Training Supervisor in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is providing quality on-the-job training to our new team members and continuous learning for our team members in the station. This includes demonstrating proper use of all equipment and vehicles along with hands-on de-icing training and follow up. The successful candidate will have two years of airline experience, preferably encompassing all functions (ticketing, gate, ramp). This position will report to the Department Manager, Team Member Services.

Essential Duties
  • Assign a variety of tasks and assignments to new hire employees, including airport familiarization
  • Demonstrate proper use of all equipment and vehicles
  • Provide hands-on training for de-icing
  • Follow up after all training events to ensure compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of QIK, Sabre
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Education, or related field
Work Environment
  • Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment
  • Airport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels
  • All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
  • Handle objects up to 70 pounds
  • Assist passengers with disabilities, including, but not limited to, pushing wheelchairs

Starting Rate: $20.00/Hourly - 23.00/Hourly (Based on locale and experience)
