Job summary

Opus is seeking a Station Supervisor in Joliet to assist the station management team with the day-to-day operation of the inspection site. The role involves overseeing staff, managing remitter duties, and ensuring compliance with IEPA guidelines.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Prior vehicle inspection experience is preferred, and candidates may travel to other stations as needed to provide staffing support.

Responsibilities

• Assist the station manager and assistant manager in the overall operation of the inspection station.
• Provide assistance with the remitter program.
• Assist with manpower needs of the station.
• Performs overt auditing when directed by the station manager or assistant manager.
• Performs waiver inspections on all applicable vehicles, and grants waivers according to IEPA guidelines.
• Travels to other stations as needed to provide staffing support.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the station manager.
