Responsibilities

  • Allocate daily staffing to flights and flight-related tasks.
  • Utilize staffing programs and other resources to identify day-of needs and provide required reports.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports and other administrative duties.
  • Maximize station performance by adapting to operational changes and solving problems.
  • Coordinate station activities and collaborate with multi-functional departments to ensure safe, on-time operations.

To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Station Operations Coordinator in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to allocate the daily staffing to flights and flight-related tasks. The Station Operations Coordinator also utilizes staffing programs and other resources to identify needs for day-of operational requirements and provide various reports. The successful candidate will have strong decision-making skills and be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite. This position will report to the Station Management.Essential Duties:Drive operational excellence in a safety-conscious environmentEffectively allocate resources and provide appropriate support to enable team members to deliver on operational goalsAllocate resources in accordance with Collective Bargaining Agreements and local policiesUtilize staffing programs and other resources (i.e. Prime, GET, RNV, Sabre) to identify needs for day-of operations and provide required reportsUnderstand the corporate culture, policies, and goals while taking measures to implement these into daily work routinesAdministrative duties, including daily/weekly/monthly reportsMaximize operational performance for the station by adjusting to changes in operational conditions and proactively solving problemsConduct other station coordination duties and responsibilities as requiredJob Qualifications and Competencies:Ability to bring out the best performance in the workforce through proactive employee engagementCritical thinking ability - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemsAbility to monitor and assess performance of self, team members, and the operation to make improvements or take corrective actionAbility to work well with all levels of management and frontline staffStrong decision-making skillsAbility to work independently, set and meet own deadlinesAbility to prioritize and execute with a sense of urgencyAbility to coordinate station activities and collaborate with multi-functional departments and agencies to ensure essential needs are met for a safe, efficient, on-time operationFamiliarity with Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in airline customer service or staffing allocationPrevious experience with GS RealTimeWorking knowledge of Air Operations Area (AOA)Working knowledge of company policies and automation applicationsWork Environment:Use of computers, telephones, radios, and other office equipmentAirport ramp environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levelsAll shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shiftsPhysical Requirements:Occasional lifting up to 25lbsThe above statements provide a brief description of the general nature of work performed and not intended to be a complete list of responsibilities, duties and skills required for this position.
