Job summary

American Food & Vending is hiring a Station Cook for Sterling Heights, MI. You will set up, prepare, and serve menu offerings across Grill, Pizza, Deli, Salad Bar, Seasonal, and Specialty stations to provide guests with an exceptional dining experience.

Ideal candidates have hospitality/food service experience, knife skills, and a readiness to learn in a fast-paced environment. You will work in a team, ensure safety standards, and may handle POS and to-go packaging as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality/food service experience.
• Basic knife skills are a plus.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn and take on additional roles.
• Committed to hospitality excellence and great dining experiences.
• Ability to cross-train and utilize skills.
• Safety and detail oriented.
• This position requires lifting 30lbs unassisted, bending, walking, climbing stairs, and standing for scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow standards to prepare and serve menu offerings for designated station(s).
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from workstations, stove, and refrigerator per safety standards.
• Serve food and any goods per guest specifications.
• Store foods in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating, safety, and rotation procedures.
• Retain temperature logs and production records efficiently.
• Keep supplies replenished; may restock coolers and take inventory as directed.
• Set-up and breakdown stations; clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, dishes for designated workstation.
• Adhere to all state and local food production, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Remain focused on customer satisfaction through excellent service to guests and team members.
• Listen well and communicate professionally and friendly.
• Be efficient and organized.
• May operate POS to complete orders and package “to go” items.
• May be assigned other duties as needed.

Summary: A Station Cook with American Dining Creations ensures exceptional dining through the set up, preparation, and serving of menu offerings to our guests. Stations may include Grill, Pizza, Deli, SaladBar, Seasonal, and Specialty menu items. By providing outstanding service, a smile, and amazing food,our Station Cooks create a memorable dining experience for our guests.
