Job summary

Montana Conservation Corps in Bozeman, MT seeks a Youth Program Manager to oversee statewide high school programs in field-based overnight settings, implementing National Park Service Expeditions and Corps-to-Career initiatives.

The YPM will lead a seasonal staff team, supervise Youth Program Coordinators and Field Support Technicians, drive recruitment, ensure safety and data integrity, and manage five-week Leadership Development Program. Start date 9/14/2026; wage $55,120 annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in field, wilderness, or outdoor youth settings.
• Experience working with teens and understanding adolescent development.
• Knowledge of youth program risk management practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication across diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and database management.

Responsibilities

• Drive recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of AmeriCorps Youth Program Leaders.
• Direct the five-week Leadership Development Program and field readiness for all leaders.
• Supervise Youth Program Coordinators and Field Support Technician(s).
• Instill a culture of care and professionalism among staff and youth participants.
• Own program curriculum delivery, work-based learning concepts, and service-learning objectives.
