Job summary

UW School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Psychiatry, Division of Care and Treatment Services, seeks an Outreach Program Manager to oversee substance use prevention efforts in Wisconsin. You will lead policy development, coordinate resources, monitor budgets, and supervise strategic planning initiatives for statewide prevention services.

Qualifications

• Education and experience in leading primary substance use prevention services.
• Experience with participating in work groups or committees related to prevention activities with internal and external parties.
• Experience with contract administration.
• Experience organizing, coordinating, or facilitating training or technical assistance.
• Experience with behavioral health program development, public health initiatives, or community coalition leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements operating policies and procedures to promote the outreach program in alignment with the strategic plan.
• Determines outreach program needs and the personnel resource allocation plan.
• Monitors the unit or program budget and approves program expenditures.
• Supervises the implementation of outreach-program-focused strategic planning initiatives and objectives.
• Reviews recommendations for and provides input on the design and development of new outreach programs or services.
