Job Summary

This position is based in Jonesboro. The Safety Organized Practice Coach is responsible for delivering training on Safety Organized Practice, Structured Decision Making, or other initiatives for Division of Children staff and stakeholders. The statewide coach will collaborate with various teams to coordinate and facilitate training, professional development, and sustainability efforts. This is a full-time, grant-funded position requiring extensive travel. It is governed by state and federal laws and agency policies.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus one year of professional experience with children and families
  • Professional experience in mentoring, teaching, or training
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field
  • Experience with child maltreatment assessments
  • Training in curriculum development and delivery
  • Experience presenting to large groups
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Training
  • Provide statewide training on DCFS initiatives
  • Offer coaching on Safety Organized Practice
  • Conduct SOP office hours as needed
  • Attend relevant training and workshops
Collaboration
  • Work with training staff, DCFS, university partners, and stakeholders
  • Engage in CQI activities to ensure fidelity to SOP
  • Participate in regional and academic meetings
  • Join DCFS workgroups as requested
Record Keeping
  • Maintain monthly records of training activities and contacts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to travel extensively, including overnight stays
  • Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
  • Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and transportation
  • Knowledge of Arkansas Child Welfare System
