Job description

Location : Statewide (Remote, must reside in Missouri)

Job Summary

The Statewide Clinical Residential Director is a statewide leader that supports all residential campuses. This Director provides leadership, guidance and oversight to the clinical services team for the residential programs, ensuring achievement of targeted goals and outcomes, including obtainment of therapist productivity expectations and effective treatment planning, and program contracts and KVC procedures, standards, and policies. This position directly supervises the Clinical Services Managers and Clinical Directors and other assigned members of the clinical team. The Clinical Residential Director works collaboratively with the Residential Directors in achieving the overall strategic plan goals, annual outcomes, quality indicators, and core competency performance standards for assigned staff.

Compensation

Salary is determined based on education, licensure and years of relevant experience in the field. Candidates will be asked to share their salary expectations during the application process, and we will follow that closely when determining offers.

Education : Master’s Degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Counseling or License Specialist Clinical Social Worker or closely related field from an accredited institution to practice in the state of Missouri.

Licensure / Certification : Clinical licensure within the state of Missouri (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, etc.). Valid driver’s license and auto insurance

Experience : Minimum of five years’ experience in providing individual, family and group therapy to children and / or adolescents. Three or more years supervising professional staff in a child welfare, mental health or healthcare setting.

Preferred Experience : Experience overseeing multiple programs, interdisciplinary teams and interdepartmental planning teams. Experience acting as a leader during accreditation activities (TJC, COA, etc.

Task Expectations

  • These describe specific job duties, responsibilities, and outcomes expected of the employee :
  • Oversees the development of high-quality treatment plans and ensures their active execution within the therapeutic milieu.
  • Provides oversight and coordination of all grant-related activities, including tracking and management, within the clinical areas of the department.
  • Oversees integrity of client care by ensuring their rights are respected and their essential needs are being met (hygiene products, clothing, etc.). Attend interdisciplinary team meeting and staffing reviews.
  • Supervise and oversee department leaders as assigned (i.e., clinical, program / milieu).
  • Provide system-wide leadership through training, mentoring, support, and leadership in the development and implementation of strategic plans.
  • Collaborates with Executive Leadership team to develop strategy to position and promote KVC as subject matter experts and develop an external market related to trauma-informed services.
  • Liaison closely with the Admissions Department, Utilization Review, Training and Performance and Quality Improvement Departments to ensure shared services departments’ goals align with program goals.
  • Provides crisis intervention and initiates emergency response plan, when necessary.
  • Will develop, evaluate, and report clinical outcomes.
  • Be prepared to oversee daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings, as well as participate in clinically necessary meetings including but not limited to team meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, difficult case staffings, program case consults, program group supervision, etc.
  • Will oversee implementation and evaluation of evidence-based and best practice models.
  • Assist in new clinical statewide projects and initiatives related to clinical and their department to enhance the clinical work.
  • Assist in developing clinical processes and provide oversight and support.
  • Ensures children and youth referred to any residential programs receive timely, accurate, and complete clinical services.
  • Supports programs to achieve compliance with TJC, state licensure, KVC policies and procedures, and grant / contract requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring KVC programs are safe for children and staff by ensuring mandated reporting requirements are met, participates in administrative review of incident reports, and carries out action plans to enhance safety within the program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
