Responsibilities

• Manages a major agency unit, section, division or program; directs or supervises staff in the completion of assigned functions and activities.
• Develops and recommends policies, rules and regulations pertaining to administration of assigned programs.
• Directs studies of needs; reviews information from studies for program development and advises on policy implementation.
• Reviews reports and audits to evaluate program effectiveness and quality of service; develops controls for accountability.
• Develops and maintains personnel policies and directs staff training programs.
