Job summary

The State of Washington is seeking an Apple Health Eligibility and Access Director for a full-time permanent hybrid role in Olympia, WA. The position reports on-site at least twice per week to meet business needs and ensure eligibility operations align with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Qualifying candidates must meet one of two option criteria.
• Option 1 requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of leadership in Medicaid or related fields.
• Option 2 requires an Associate degree and 7 years of leadership in Medicaid or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Direct statewide Medicaid, CHIP, and state-funded medical eligibility operations.
• Establish strategic direction, priorities, performance measures, and operational objectives for Medicaid, CHIP, and state-funded medical assistance eligibility.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and equitable eligibility determinations and renewals.
• Lead organizational change initiatives to improve service delivery, efficiency, and outcomes.
• Provide executive oversight and direction of medical eligibility policy development and implementation.
