MassLive, the leading statewide sports publisher in Massachusetts, is seeking a high school sports creator to lead social-first storytelling across the state. This role blends reporting, on-camera presence, and concept development with an established newsroom and a statewide audience.

You'll report and write across the state, produce rankings, all-state teams, polls, breaking news, and enterprise features, with ownership of projects from idea to publication while collaborating with the High

Formación

• Degree in journalism, communication, digital media or equivalent.
• At least two years in journalism, video, social media or digital content creation.
• Proven ability to create and publish video for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube or similar.
• Experience growing a social media audience via engagement and conversations.
• Strong knowledge of Massachusetts high school sports or ability to build trusted relationships statewide.
• Ability to write clean, concise scripts and produce content quickly.
• Proficiency with editing tools such as CapCut, Instagram Edits or Adobe Premiere.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under deadline.
• Strong news writing, reporting ethics and story structure.
• Ability to leverage sources to differentiate MassLive from competitors.
• Must be able to work nights and some weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Research, pitch, report, shoot, script, edit and publish short-form videos and social-first stories.
• Appear on camera for live streams, game coverage, interviews and shows.
• Develop original concepts showcasing Massachusetts high school sports.
• Produce text-on-screen explainers, interviews and features.
• Publish content on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and emerging platforms.
• Build audience engagement by sparking conversations and growing community.
• Work quickly to produce content from games, events and breaking news.
• Contribute reporting and writing to MassLive's statewide coverage strategy.
