Position Title: STATEWIDE EXECUTIVE CHEF II - K12 FOOD SERVICES - EASTERN RHODE ISLAND

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000

Job Summary

Chartwells K12 is seeking an Executive Chef II to lead culinary operations across K-12 schools in Eastern Rhode Island. This role ensures our food culture, brand standards, and scratch-cooking philosophy are upheld across all locations while supporting business goals and boosting student participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion Chartwells K12's culinary standards and brand across multiple school sites

  • Support and improve scratch cooking practices, food quality, and menu execution

  • Coach teams to enhance kitchen operations and student dining experiences

  • Oversee food safety, sanitation, inventory, and compliance standards

  • Lead culinary training, development, and operational consistency

Qualifications:

  • A.S. in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of culinary/kitchen leadership, preferably in large-scale or institutional settings

  • Strong knowledge of scratch cooking, food cost controls, and high-volume service

  • Business-minded with a focus on driving participation and operational improvements

  • ServSafe certification preferred
