Job summary

The State of Alaska is hiring an Education Specialist 2 to support statewide early education initiatives under the Alaska Reads Act. You will work with school districts, educators, and partners to implement program standards and grants across Alaska.

The role emphasizes grant lifecycle management, technical assistance, and reporting to ensure eligible programs align with early learning guidelines. Alaska residency may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four years of professional education experience, including planning and evaluating programs.
• Graduate study may substitute for non-specialized experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Alaska teaching certificates or administrator endorsements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support statewide implementation of Alaska Early Education Program Standards, grants, and Preschool ADM.
• Manage lifecycle of Preschool Grant applications, awards, monitoring, and closeout.
• Administer the Preschool ADM application and provide technical assistance to districts.
• Provide statewide guidance and training on best practices and literacy aligned with Alaska Reads Act.
• Prepare reports, guidance documents, presentations, and manage contracts and reimbursements.
