Job summary

North Carolina Department of Adult Correction seeks a Psychologist (NS) to provide direct psychological services to offenders, including assessments, crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, and consultations with custody and classification staff.

The position may involve risk assessments, staff training on mental health topics, and collaboration with medical, custody, and classification teams. Night/weekend on-call is possible; salary range provided with benefits.

Qualifications

• Documented knowledge in the techniques, principles, and/or instruments used in developmental psychological, psychotherapy, counseling, behavioral, and educational assessments.
• Documented knowledge of interpreting diagnostic findings and preparing comprehensive reports.
