Job summary

The Construction Project Manager administers state university construction projects from initiation through closeout, coordinating consultants and contractors to meet contract requirements. Based in Albany, travel within New York State is required to support campuses and site inspections, change orders, and payment applications.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 10 years experience or Bachelor's/Master's degree with 10 years experience (professional license may substitute for some experience)
• Working knowledge of applicable codes, laws, rules and standards regulating design and construction, including New York State Building Codes
• Fundamental understanding of construction practices and construction management procedures
• Ability to understand contract documents and strong technology skills including Microsoft Office
• Effective communication and written skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively in a team environment

• Oversee site inspections, process change orders and payment applications, review documents for code compliance
• Coordinate with campus representatives to ensure timely completion and adherence to contract documents
