Caltrans Legal Division – Sacramento Office seeks dedicated attorneys with litigation interest and/or experience to support the Department and the State of California.

Under general direction, you interpret laws and prepare cases, briefs, and conduct trials; join an established team handling high-stakes matters and house counsel work with statewide reach. Hybrid telework option available.

Qualifications

• Interest or experience in litigation.
• Willingness to join an in-house litigation team.

Responsabilités

• Study, interpret and apply laws, court decisions in preparation of cases, opinions and briefs.
• Prepare and present cases for trial; handle transactional work as needed.
• Support Department in high-stakes litigation and house counsel matters.
