State Tested Nursing Assistant, Night Shift, LTAC 2 North

UC Health is hiring a full-time State Tested Nursing Assistant for the night shift at Daniel Drake Center.

The State Tested Nursing Assistant provides basic direct patient care as delegated by clinical professional personnel in accordance with delegation law and rules and current education. The STNA maintains an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic direct patient care as delegated, maintaining an orderly, clean, and safe environment.
• Engage in population-appropriate communication.
• Understand growth and development milestones and tasks.
• Give clear instructions to patients/families regarding treatment.
• Notify RN of any changes in patient’s demeanor, consciousness, or physical appearance.
• Provide care that is culturally sensitive and age-appropriate.
• Measure vital signs, monitor skin integrity, intake & output, height & weight; report changes.
• Collect specimens such as routine urine, clean catch urine, 24-hour urine, and sputum samples.
