State Tested Nursing Assistant, Second Shift, Bridgeway Pointe

UC Health is hiring a Full-Time State Tested Nursing Assistant for the second shift at Daniel Drake Center.

The State Tested Nursing Assistant provides basic direct patient care as delegated by clinical professional personnel in accordance with delegation law and rules and current education. The STNA maintains an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and visitors.

Daniel Drake Center for Post-Acute Care is the region's premier provider of post-acute and transitional care services, offering a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services including medically complex care, skilled nursing, assisted living, wellness services, and research. It helps patients recover from catastrophic injury and illness such as multi-system organ failure, complex wound care, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury.

Daniel Drake is the only hospital-based skilled nursing facility in the Cincinnati region. Patients have access to hospital-based services including 24/7 on-site physician coverage, pharmacy, diagnostic imaging, wound care, and specialty physician consulting services. These on-site services enable quick responses to complex and evolving care needs.

  • Give clear instructions to patients and families regarding treatment.
  • Notify RN of any changes in patient demeanor, consciousness, or appearance.
  • Provide culturally and age-appropriate care.
  • Measure vital signs, observe skin integrity, record intake and output, height, weight, and report changes including mental status.
  • Collect specimens such as routine urine, clean catch urine, 24-hour urine, and sputum samples.
