Position Overview

Harbor is seeking a State Support Team Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant to serve Region 7 in Mansfield, OH. This role involves macro-level consultation, supporting Ohio’s regional State Support Teams through Ohio’s Department of Children and Youth. The position offers focused ECMH Programmatic Consultation to the Ohio Department of Education’s (ODE) State Support Team (SST) and partner districts across 13 counties. As part of the statewide support system, the SST collaborates with schools, families, regional partners, and ODE to ensure every child in Ohio has access to quality education.

Job Details

Description: This full-time, on-site position in Mansfield involves providing macro-level consultation, designing and implementing consultation plans, training early childhood staff, and participating in various professional activities and supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Child and Family Studies, Education, or related field.
• Preferred professional license in Ohio (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, etc.).
• Requirement to earn Ohio ECMH Professional Credential; may need Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist (OCPS) certification.
• Knowledge and experience in early childhood development and mental health.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• CPR/First Aid and NCI/CPI certifications within 90 days.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and computer use.

Essential Duties

• Attend supervision, meetings, and professional development.
