West Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA/CNA) to join our care team on a PRN basis in Kentucky. The SRNA delivers direct hands-on nursing care and supports residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as independently as possible.

Key duties include assisting with ADLs, responding to call lights, aiding admissions and transfers, and maintaining safety, infection control, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Certified and state tested SRNA/CNA; certificate must be active and in good standing.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to call lights to ensure comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or wheelchair within the facility.
• Report significant findings to the nurse immediately.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge to ensure smooth transitions.
• Safeguard residents' personal possessions.
• Maintain clean and safe resident rooms.
• Follow infection control procedures.
• Respect privacy and confidentiality of residents.
• Provide restorative care to prevent complications.
• Engage with residents and families to aid adjustment to the community.
• Monitor hydration and nutrition and report deviations.

Position Overview:

The SRNA is a member of the community nursing team whose responsibility is to assist professional nursing personnel by delivering direct hands-on nursing care to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents on a daily basis. The SRNA is also responsible for assisting the residents to achieve the highest level of functioning while living as normal a lifestyle as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• To perform or assist the resident with completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to residents call lights to provide maximum comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or by wheelchair to areas of community (dining room, lobby and activities).
• Report any significant findings/observations to nurse immediately.
• Assist residents on admission, transfer and discharge to make a smooth transition.
• Responsible for the safekeeping of residents’ personal possessions.
• Keep resident rooms neat and safe.
• Follow proper infection control techniques
• Respect the rights of each resident, particularly privacy and confidentiality.
• Re-teach resident to perform ADL skills.
• Provide restorative care to prevent pressure sores, contractures, and complications.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement and ensures follow-up occurs.
• Converse with resident and family; assist them on adjustment to the community.
• Ensure adequate hydration and nutrition of resident; report deviations from norm to the Charge Nurse promptly.
• Perform blood pressure, pulse, respirations, intake/output and weights accurately.

Qualifications:

Certified and state tested as a State Registered Nurse Aide in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.
